Trinity Washington, was outside her home on Sept. 17. Trinity was with her Yorkie puppy when she said female neighbors called her a racial slur and stepped on the dog. The 11-year-old said the woman hit her in the eye with a bottle and punched her in the nose — breaking it and causing her to undergo two surgeries. The neighbors called her and her family the N-word as well.

The injuries were severe enough that emergency plastic surgery needed to be performed on Trinity’s face. Washington and her mom said the Yorkie, named Barbie, was stepped on by one of the women but survived.

Six days after the attack, a man who lives next door to Porter threatened her with a handgun. Porter said she asked him "Why did you bring the news people to my f***ing house?"

The same man returned later and flashed the gun again, but the police never showed up when she called. The man, who’s said to be the boyfriend of one of the female neighbors, has since been arrested. Deandre Carroll, 32, has been charged with one misdemeanor count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

As the investigation into the attack unfolds, no arrests have been made at this time.
